Online surveys are mostly unchanged since the days of telephone and even face to face.  In most cases you could print them off and complete them with a pencil! That can be fine – why change what has worked for decades? But sometimes you do need more.

NexGen represents a new beginning by adding completely new question styles to collect better data and be more engaging to Consumers.

The more time respondents spend online, the shorter their attention spans. Respondent expectations are changing, with traditional HTML surveys leading to increased boredom. Pricing

Typically a NexGen enabled survey costs around 20% more than a standard one. Be aware that they typically take longer to script first time around as well. For instance we might need to source quality images etc. Repeat surveys are as fast, sometimes faster, than standard ones though.

How does it work?

We'll work with you to develop a survey that meets your exact requirements, from a choice of many available options and combinations, which include, but aren't limited to:

  • Sliding scales 
  • Drag-and-drop  (one or two dimensions)
  • Pop-ups – eg to remind respondents of concepts being researched
  • Videos and/or images and/or sound clips – either as objects to be researched or to enhance recognition
  • Interactive “Tag Clouds” – where words (or short phrases) can be chosen from those entered by previous respondents or new ones added
  • “Recognised Unprompted Recall”
  • Non Linear Survey design – think Home Page on a web site rather than a book – Respondents selective answer the questions/topics that are relevant to them

Actually NexGen is a full programming environment in it’s own right. That means we can build pretty much anything you want. If you can create your vision in PowerPoint – we can probably make it happen in a real survey!
